NATIVE FRIULIAN WINES BY EMILIO BULFON

20 January 2011
16:00to18:00

The ancient vine species from the Friuli piedmont region will be presented by one of the most authoritative oenological figures in North-East Italy: Emilio Bulfon, who was recently given the Cangrande della Scala Award for Oenology at Vinitaly 2010. For over thirty years Emilio has been pursuing the laudable aim of bringing back into production the old local wines, which would otherwise be replaced by more convenient and profitable cultivation systems and varieties. The grapes in question include Piculit Neri, Forgiarin and Ucelut. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the research devotedly carried out by the Bulfon family. A guided tasting session will follow.
